  1. An eventful and busy week! I am blogging to you from my bedroom in Manchester. I moved the rest of my stuff in tonight! I'm so happy to be back, it truly feels like home here!
  2. As you can see, I am not longer a single lady (sorry Beyonce). I'm extremely happy and completely smitten. It is a bit rubbish that I will now be in Manchester most of the time, whilst Reece in back in Yorkshire, but he's coming to stay in just over a week, so all is not lost!
  3. I start work experience tomorrow! I will be working at an independent book publishers situated in the Northern Quarter, I went for a wander to find it the other day, and it is situated almost directly behind my favourite cafe (which happens to sell that red velvet cake - oh dear) so I predict I shall be getting a bit tubbier! I cannot wait to start and see what this new experience brings; I have been continuously emailing the lovely people who work there and they have been extremely accommodating - I can't wait!
  4. One downside is my laptop is breaking; the charger connection is a bit loose, and I have to take my laptop to work experience so it may all go a bit Only Fools and Horses. I think I'll take it home with me and try to get it fixed as soon as possible!
  5. Aesthetic Magazine arrived! I am so impressed with the final product, Michelle and all the other contributors have worked incredibly hard and it shows. It is a tremendous little magazine and I am ridiculously proud to have been able to contribute. I adore the way my article turned out, (I wrote the book review, if any of you ladies have read it).
So there we go, a very busy week indeed. I think I may have my blogging mojo back - I have ideas for a couple of posts; there will definitely be a few work experience posts, and a full post dedicated to Aesthetic.

I hope all of your weeks have been equally as lovely as mine,

Talk soon and thank you for reading x

Weekly Summary #22

Walking for the bus in sunny Manchester, Outfit in Manc, Huddersfield train station,
Best film, Funeral outfit - no black allowed, Ladies had a hair cut,
Arthur (who is 2) on his awesome bike, Henry - 6, Arthur riding,
Arthur vs. cake, Story time, Matt Damon being all handsome in Good Will Hunting

  1. I want to start with an apology for not blogging this week. Last week ended badly so I decided to take a step back from the internet and have a week for myself. Lydia texted me on Tuesday asking me to go to Manchester for cocktails as she was back at the house. I met her and Lauren in Font (if you know Manc you know how awesome Font is) and had a few drinks and a giggle.
  2. Like I said, I had the week for myself, I haven't done much apart from lounge around in bed and go to work. I needed to get away from the internet and repair myself as I haven't been feeling too fab for a while now. I'm glad to say that as of now I am feeling much better and much happier than I have in a while!
  3. I met with a good friend this evening for coffee. We chatted and cleared the air about a lot of things. I am so pleased to have him back in my life properly. Everything seems to be falling into place.
  4. The funeral on Thursday was an extremely tough and emotional experience. It was the send off that was deserved for such a fantastic inspirational woman. She will be sorely missed, a fantastic teacher. The church was filled to the brim, and people we queuing outside to get in. That says a lot.
  5. I also saw my wonderful nephews on Thursday. Arthur can't sit still and Henry is so clever. Super proud auntie alert. I adore their little selves.
  6. I'm meeting a new friend on Wednesday, which should be fun. We've been talking for a bit now so it will be nice to finally meet him. Exciting.
I hope you guys don't mind the non-blogging, but like I said, I took a step back from the internet for a while, and feel much better for it. Hopefully I'll get a couple of posts up this week, but I am lacking inspiration.

I hope your weeks have been great, I'm off to catch up on some srs blog reading!

Thanks for reading x

p.s.  Hi! new followers :) thank you, and come say hello, I hope you enjoy xxx

Weekly Summary #8 - Happy Easter!

Tess being little spoon, Work, Best ice cream ever,
Arthur fresh from a nap, Henry teaching us about trains, Arthur looking like Hamlet loving hula-hoops,
Anita - West Side Story, Chicken pie, Geese crossing the road
  1. As you can see, I jumped on the instagram bandwagon! I'm kind of addicted. This week was busy, again, with work experience, a magazine meeting, working at Ikea and my mum going away to Lourdes yesterday.
  2. The magazine meeting wasn't the best; we only had an hour but didn't discuss much at all. The team all seem really fantastic, but getting the ideas off the ground is going to be difficult. We have a plan(ish) set in place so given time, it should be good.
  3. Yesterday I went to visit my nephews, who are my favourite boys on the planet. Henry is 5 and Arthur is almost 2 and completely adorable. We spent the afternoon playing with duplo, reading about trains and dancing. I couldn't be prouder. Then Colette and I went and spent the evening at Rose's. We had chicken pie and cake and chatted and watched films. It was lovely.
  4. My sister, Dad and I went to Mass to celebrate Easter this morning (I haven't been all Holy Week and felt bad). The church was packed so we stood at the back. We watched all the kiddies go to celebrate Children's Liturgy, and there was one little guy, about 3 years old, who was all dressed up in a suit - a little navy number with a red tie. He was adorable and a character. I fell a bit in love with him.
  5. Tomorrow me and a group of friends are going to Whitby, which is one of my favourite places to visit. We used to go all the time when we had a caravan at Filey, but I haven't been in years. Colette and I have said that we want to pay a visit to the Lucky Duck shop and I want to visit the whale bones and climb the stairs. Fish and chips are a must for dinner too. Even though it's almost definitely going to chuck it down, I can't wait!
  6. Next week also marks the beginning of the end of my essays. I have 4 due in before the 30th April, which is quite daunting, two are relatively easy though, so they shouldn't take too long. Ikea have also upped my hours so trying to fit everything in is going to be difficult.
Right now, I'm making the most of a lazy Easter Sunday and watching the end of West Side Story and reading whilst Dad cooks pasta. Toy Story is on at 5.20, are you going to watch? I am. Love Tom Hanks!
I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend (and don't feel too sick).

Thanks for reading x
